In these related products liability actions, plaintiffs allege that they developed glenohumeral chondrolysis, the rapid and permanent loss of cartilage in the shoulder joint, after medical devices known as "pain pumps" were used to administer local anesthetics during and after arthroscopic surgery. Plaintiffs each seek non-economic damages of $4,500,000 and economic damages...
