Over fifteen years ago, Dennis Gover was convicted of second-degree murder of a nine-year-old girl caught in the cross-fire of a Detroit neighborhood. Since that time he has unsuccessfully sought to overturn his conviction in Michigan courts and now in federal court by way of a petition for habeas corpus.
