SELYA, Circuit Judge.

A federal grand jury in the District of Maine handed up an indictment that charged an elementary-school music teacher with two counts of transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. See 18 U.S.C. § 2423(a). Following a bench trial, the district court found the teacher guilty and imposed a twelve-year incarcerative sentence. The teacher appeals.
