After her arrest and incarceration as a witness in a criminal proceeding, LaTasha Adams ("Adams") brought suit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against Karen Hanson ("Hanson"), an assistant prosecutor in Genesee County, Michigan, in her individual capacity.
