On April 11, 2007, a jury convicted appellant George Riddick of the second-degree murder of his girlfriend, Danitza Barrera.1 Appellant also was convicted of weapons offenses relating to that incident: possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, carrying a pistol without a license ("CPWL"), and CPWL outside the home.2 On appeal, he challenges his convictions on two grounds...
