In 2000, James Compass lost his job at PGP Industries, Inc. (PGP). Compass's employment agreement requires arbitration of "any dispute or controversy." Compass demanded arbitration of his breach of contract claim against PGP. He also filed this lawsuit against PGP, its executives and its successor-in-interest, asserting tort and contract claims arising from his employment. The trial court stayed the lawsuit and compelled arbitration. Over seven years later...
