Vincent E. Reed was tried by a jury and convicted of armed bank robbery, 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a), (d). He was also convicted of two violations of the District of Columbia Criminal Code namely, armed carjacking, D.C.Code § 22-2803(a)(1), (b)(1), and destruction of property, D.C.Code § 22-303. The district court sentenced Reed to 300 months' imprisonment on the armed bank robbery...
