This case involves a challenge by the Department of Human Services (DHS) to a voluntary acknowledgment of paternity affidavit (acknowledgment) naming appellant as the biological father of the child, C.R.C. The juvenile court concluded that the biological mother (mother) lacked authority to sign the acknowledgment because her parental rights had been terminated at the time of the signing. Accordingly, the court ordered that the acknowledgment was invalid...
