Appellant, Marie Lisette Garcia Vega, a juvenile, was tried as an adult in Hidalgo County. A jury found her guilty of the offenses of capital murder, aggravated kidnaping, and aggravated robbery. Because the State did not seek the death penalty for the capital murder, the trial court assessed her punishment at life imprisonment for capital murder.
