The district court in this class-action suit denied class certification, and we exercised our discretion under Fed. R.Civ.P. 23(f) to decline to accept an appeal from that denial. But then the defendant made and the plaintiff accepted a modest offer of judgment (Fed.R.Civ.P. 68), which terminated the case and so enabled the plaintiff to appeal as a matter of right in order to challenge the denial of class certification, because her acceptance...
