New Jersey's Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA), N.J.S.A. 34:19-1 to -8, protects workers who blow the whistle on their employers' illegal, fraudulent, or otherwise improper activities that implicate the health, safety, and welfare of the public. The statute extends to "any individual who performs services for and under the control and direction of an employer for wages or other remuneration."...
