In this case, we consider a number of issues including whether a social worker's interview requires that Miranda1 warnings be given. We conclude that Miranda-like warnings are not required because conditioning a child custody placement recommendation upon honest answers to a social worker's questions does not cut off an individual's free choice to exercise the right to remain silent.<...
