The defendant, Jason LeBlanc, was indicted on one count of vehicular homicide, a violation of La. R.S. 14:32.1. He pleaded not guilty and was tried before a jury. The jury found defendant guilty as charged. The trial court sentenced defendant to a term of ten years at hard labor, with one year of the sentence to be served without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
