The plaintiffs' mother was, at different times, a resident of the two defendant nursing homes. Following her death, the plaintiffs filed suit, seeking damages related to what they asserted was negligent care. One of the defendants was dismissed after the trial court found both that the cause of action against it was prescribed and that the plaintiffs failed to meet their burden of proof.
