This appeal arises out of a lawsuit filed by over 30 residents of Kaufman County against approximately 20 defendants with respect to the mining of limestone from pits located near the plaintiffs' homes and properties. The defendants to the lawsuit consist of mining companies, trucking companies, and Kaufman County (the County).
