In this case we are asked to consider whether a writ of garnishment of wages to enforce an order of restitution in a criminal proceeding is dischargeable in bankruptcy. Jacqueline Mae Garnett, the appellee, filed for bankruptcy seeking a discharge of her debts, including a restitution judgment that was entered against her after she had been found guilty, but not criminally responsible, for malicious destruction of property.
