In this matter, the City of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge (City/Parish) expropriated property belonging to Johnca Properties, L.L.C. (Johnca). After a trial on the merits, the district court entered judgment awarding Johnca damages in excess of the amount deposited into the court, attorney fees, expert witness fees, costs and interest.
