The defendant, Enice Lyles, Jr., appeals from an order of the circuit court summarily dismissing his second pro se petition for relief under the Post-Conviction Hearing Act (Act) (725 ILCS 5/122-1 et seq. (West 2000)). A different division of this court subsequently dismissed the defendant's appeal for want of prosecution. The same division later vacated the dismissal and reinstated the appeal...
