After a jury-waived trial, the defendant was convicted of violating § 20 of G. L. c. 268A, the conflict of interest statute. On appeal the defendant makes two arguments. First, he claims that the Legislature intended a de minimis exemption to G. L. c. 268A, § 20, which would exempt his conduct from criminal liability.
