WILLIAMS, J.

The defendant, Terry D. Frye, was charged by bill of information with seventeen (17) counts of extortion, violations of LSA-R.S. 14:66. After a jury trial, the defendant was found guilty as charged. He was sentenced to serve a total of 35 years at hard labor. The defendant failed to timely file a motion to reconsider sentence.
