This defamation action was brought by Kathleen Suggs against Dorothy Stanley and Betty Hendricks, the sisters of her deceased companion. The jury ruled in favor of Suggs, and the sisters appeal from the judgment, contending that the district court2 erred by denying their motion for judgment as a matter of law and that it improperly admitted certain evidence.
