Defendant Jamaude Smith appeals his conviction for attempted simple burglary. We affirm for the reasons to follow.

Smith was charged with a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27:62, was arraigned and pled not guilty. Prior to trial, the bill of information was amended to charge Smith with simple burglary in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62.
