Wisconsin makes full due process statutorily available to individuals subject to involuntary guardianship and protective placement petitions. Among the protections available is the requirement that an expert witness cannot simply summarize the findings and opinions of others but must reach an independent opinion only after a disinterested review of all relevant records.
