OPINION

BILLINGS, Associate Presiding Judge:

¶ 1 Lavar T. Jensen appeals his conviction of violating a protective order, a class A misdemeanor, in violation of Utah Code Ann. § 76-5-108 (1999). We reverse and remand for a new trial.

BACKGROUND
