Jennings, was charged by information with one count of first-degree murder (720 ILCS 5/9-1(a)(1) (West 1998)) and one count of concealment of a homicidal death (720 ILCS 5/9-3.1(a) (West 1998)) in connection with the death of Thomas Beyers (the victim).
