Defendant was convicted of two counts of attempted aggravated burglary. On appeal, the court determined that defendant's counsel was ineligible to practice law at the time of the trial for failure to acquire the full complement of continuing legal education (CLE) credits for that year and, thus, defendant was not afforded his constitutional guarantee of assistance of counsel.
