This criminal case is before the court on defendant Paul Bradley VanLeer's motion for a downward departure. VanLeer has pled guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He agrees with the government that the applicable sentencing guidelines produce a sentencing range of 30 to 37 months.
