(Crain Brothers), filed a motion for summary judgment and asserted that the plaintiff-appellant, Thomas Lovejoy (Mr. Lovejoy), was not a seaman and should be precluded from bringing a claim under the Jones Act. The trial court granted the defendant's motion for summary judgment after concluding that there were no genuine issues of material fact as to the plaintiff's status as a seaman...
