Defendant, David Fortier, entered a plea of nolo contendere to a charge of theft of currency valued at over $1,000.00 from Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular Surgery, Inc. The trial judge sentenced David Fortier to five years of imprisonment at hard labor.
