MALONE, J.:

Matthew Pieplow appeals the district court's denial of his K.S.A. 60-1507 motion. The only issue on appeal is whether the sentencing court abused its discretion in imposing the aggravated sentence in the guidelines grid box without making any findings on the record. This is an issue of first impression.
