TRAXLER, Circuit Judge.

Sherwood L. Hill appeals the district court's dismissal of his pro se petition for relief under 28 U.S.C.A. § 2254 (West 1994 & Supp.2001) for failure to comply with the one-year limitation period for bringing such an action.
