Appellant, Charles Harvey, instituted this action against respondents, Dr. Glen Strickland and Surgical Associates (hereinafter Dr. Strickland), alleging breach of contract, lack of informed consent, medical malpractice, and medical battery. Harvey is a Jehovah's Witness; his claims stem from Harvey's receipt of unwanted blood transfusions two days after elective carotid artery surgery.
