We must determine here where a prison inmate "lives" within the meaning of G. L. c. 223, § 1, the venue statute for transitory actions.2 We conclude that, for purpose of the statute, an inmate "lives" both in the county where he maintains his domicile and in the county in which he is incarcerated at the time suit is brought.
