On February 12, 2002, Joseph Eugene Sizemore pleaded guilty to second-degree forgery, a violation of § 13A-9-3(a)(2), Ala. Code 1975. The circuit court sentenced him to two years in prison. That sentence was suspended and Sizemore was placed on two years' probation.1
