UNUM Life Insurance Company of America ("UNUM") appeals the district court's judgment for plaintiff Russann H. Hall. Hall filed suit against UNUM under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act ("ERISA"), 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001-1461, because it terminated her disability benefits. UNUM's principal argument is that the district court improperly considered evidence outside of the administrative record relied upon by UNUM when it terminated...
