These consolidated appeals present the question of first impression whether Michigan's statutory drug forfeiture scheme authorizes that a prevailing claimant be held liable for the charges incurred in the towing and storage of his vehicle during the pendency of a drug forfeiture action. The prosecutor appeals as of right from circuit court orders providing that the successful claimants had no liability for towing and storage fees pursuant to the drug forfeiture...
