Dennis McGiffen and Wallace Weicherding were members of a group of white supremacists in southern Illinois. After a lengthy undercover investigation by the FBI into the group's activities, McGiffen, Weicherding, and two co-conspirators, Ralph Bock and Glenn Lowtharp, were charged in a one-count indictment with conspiracy to receive and possess unregistered firearms and destructive devices in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371.
