Defendant-appellant, Georgia Gulf Corporation (Georgia Gulf) terminated plaintiff-appellee, Arne Hook, from his position as manager of transportation and distribution for Georgia Gulfs Plaquemine, Louisiana plant. Hook was terminated three days after he angrily confronted Ed Schmitt, one of Georgia Gulfs vice-presidents who was the plant manager of the Plaquemine facility.3 Shortly before he was terminated, Hook had been diagnosed...
