Anthony Miles appeals from the circuit court's dismissal of his postconviction petition, Ala.R.Crim.P. 32. In that petition, he contested the validity of his 1997 conviction for the capital murder of an employee of a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant ("KFC") during a robbery. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. His conviction and sentence were affirmed on appeal. Miles v. State,
