We granted leave to consider whether defendant's alleged conduct of lying to a police officer about his name and age, constituted an "obstruction" within the meaning of Michigan's "resisting and obstructing" statute. MCL 750.479. Michigan's "resisting and obstructing" statute does not proscribe any manner of interference with a police officer, and it also does not proscribe
