Defendant, Jermaine Andy, (also known by the nickname "Nig"), was indicted for the second degree murder of Mario Rabb. A jury convicted defendant of the responsive verdict of manslaughter. Defendant obtained new counsel after his conviction and filed motions for new trial and post-verdict judgment of acquittal. Both of these motions were denied.
