Petitioner, a former Baltimore City police officer, appeals from his conviction for theft under the value of $300 and misconduct in office. He complains that the trial court abused its discretion in refusing to permit his attorney to cross-examine the complaining witness as to whether he had hired an attorney to file a lawsuit on his behalf against Baltimore City.
