¶ 1. On December 17, 1997, Danny Langston was indicted on the charge of simple assault on a police officer. A trial was held in the Circuit Court of Tishomingo County, Mississippi, the Honorable Frank Russell presiding. The jury found Langston guilty of the charge of simple assault on a police officer and Judge Russell subsequently sentenced Langston to a term of five years imprisonment.
