SEERDEN, Chief Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction, following a plea bargain, of the charge of bribery. Tex.Penal Code Ann. § 36.02 (Vernon 1994).

On December 13, 1995, Herschel B. Zinn, appellant, and Norma Delia Warner were jointly indicted by the Grand Jury of Cameron County, Texas, for the offense of bribery. Specifically, they were charged with accepting $1,458.70 from James Williams for the purpose of securing the dismissal...
