Defendant Johnny Luna was charged with of two counts of forcible rape, in violation of La. R.S. 14:42.1. Pursuant to defendant's pretrial motion to proceed pro se, the trial court ruled that the defendant could represent himself with assistance from his court-appointed attorney.
