Plaintiff State Insurance Fund (Fund) brought this action in state court to collect unpaid worker's compensation insurance premiums from defendants. Defendants removed the action to federal court. A magistrate judge conducted a bench trial with the consent of the parties. See 28 U.S.C. § 636(c)(1). He awarded judgment in favor of the plaintiff from which defendants appeal.
