Defendant, Johnny Duncan, was charged by bill of information with simple escape, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:110. Following a jury trial, defendant was found guilty as charged. He was adjudicated a second felony offender and sentenced to six years imprisonment at hard labor. On appeal, this Court reversed defendant's conviction and remanded the case for a new trial due to the erroneous denial of the defense's challenge for cause of a prospective juror....
