On November 5, 1997, a three-count superseding indictment charged George Haynes ("Haynes") with one count of possession of a firearm following a felony conviction, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1); and two counts of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1).
