The Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a bill of information charging the defendant, Jerrick Pugh, with one count of distribution of cocaine in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967A. Following the resolution of numerous pre-trial motions, the matter proceeded to trial before a twelve person jury. At the conclusion of the proceedings, the jury found the defendant guilty as charged. The trial court thereafter sentenced the defendant to five years imprisonment...
