HANSEN, Circuit Judge.

Robert Dale Gray appeals his conviction and sentence for conspiring to distribute a controlled substance in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846 (1994). Gray argues that the district court2 erred in denying his requests to withdraw his guilty plea and in imposing a life sentence pursuant to 21 U.S.C. § 841(b)(1)(A). We affirm.
